Gilt Brass & Tile Mantle Clock. Fancy gilt brass case with pierced filigree finial, square corner columns and turned feet; paint decorated tiles on the front and sides, the front has a 4 in. dia. dial with black Roman hour numerals, gilt filigree, scenic painted center and interior scene below with a mother attending to her 3 children, scenic decorated side panels with farmers herding livestock. Round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “CH’les Mt” and numbered 12080, has an half hour strike on a bell. Nice condition overall, gilt case finish has some tarnish, no breaks, cracks or chips to the tile panels. 16.75 in. high x 7.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Weight: 11.25 lbs.
