Waltham Chinoiserie 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12.5 in. silvered dial signed “Waltham Clock Co.” with black Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers outside and fleur de lis spacers, silvered sub seconds dial, sub dials for “Silent – Strike” & Whittington – St. Michaels, Westminster”, pierced decorated hands, arched silvered moon phase dial with painted dish and gilt relief decorated brass center and corner spandrels; quality, brass, weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and strikes on 9 tubes signed “Waltham Clock Company”; 3 quality brass weights & pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. In a large Chinoiserie style case with red-orange grain painted surface and paint decorated with Chinese style figures, pagodas, landscapes and filigree; In wonderful original condition, case, movement, dial & chimes are all very clean and nice. 98 in. high x 24.25 in. wide x 15.75 in. deep.
