Fancy shaped brass dial has a large 13 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numerals, silvered sub seconds dial, pierced and engraved gilt filigree around the edge and in the center, sub dials for Chime/ Silent, Strike/ Silent & Whittington/ Westminster/ Selected/ Guildford chimes; brass 8 day weight driven movement, Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, pierced brass 3 spoke pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob with steel stick. In an elaborate French rococo style carved mahogany case with tall pierced carved broken pediment crest with C-scroll carving and turned finials, filigree carved corner corbels and door frame; case body has fancy shaped glass on the front door and side panels, carved mullion overlays on the door, excellent turned and carved corner columns and carved front panel on the base with mythical head carved in the center. In excellent condition with an enhanced original finish; 110 in. high x 27.5 in. wide x 18 in. deep.
